Hallo und herzlich willkommen auf der Flexport.org-Spendenseite für Die Arche. Für diejenigen, die uns noch nicht kennen: wir sind eine junge Gruppe bestehend aus Kollegen der Firma Flexport, dem weltweit ersten, digitalen Logistikdienstleister. Wir arbeiten in unseren Büros in Amsterdam und Hamburg und teilen eine Leidenschaft: das Laufen. Mit dem Hamburger Halbmarathon, der am 1 Juli 2018 stattfindet, wollen wir unsere Grenzen austesten und die Möglichkeit nutzen, Spenden für die Arche zu sammeln. Die Arche ist eine Wohltätigkeitsorganisation, welche sozial-benachteiligte Kinder und Jugendliche in Deutschland unterstützt.

Anand, Aron, Daniel, Diane, Harrison, Jordan, Lasse und Simon haben über die letzten Monate hinweg viel trainiert, um für die herausfordernden 21 Kilometer gewappnet zu sein. Neben dieser Herausforderung freuen wir uns natürlich riesig über jede Spende!

Wir laufen im Namen der Arche; einer Wohltätigkeitsorganisation, die Kinder und Jugendliche in vielen unterschiedlichen Bereichen unterstützt. 1995 gegründet, erreicht das Hamburger Projekt mittlerweile 2500 Kinder und Jugendliche pro Jahr durch unterschiedliche Projekte. Angefangen bei warmen Mahlzeiten für sozial-benachteiligte Kinder bis hin zu Bildungs- und Förderungsmaßnahmen von Jugendlichen. Das Hamburger Projekt wird durch 38 Mitarbeiter und 40 Freiwillige getragen. Ziel des Projektes ist es, Kindern und Jugendlichen aus allen Gesellschaftsschichten bei der Entwicklung durch Bildung, Sport und Kunst zu helfen. Alle ggf. anfallenden Transaktionskosten werden vom Hauptsitz der Arche Berlin übernommen.

Neben unserem Hauptgeschäft haben wir Flexport.org gegründet, eine   bereichsübergreifende Gruppe innerhalb des Unternehmens, die sich auf die Nachhaltigkeitsentwicklung spezialisiert hat. Diese veranstaltet Wohltätigkeitsveranstaltungen in allen unserer 10 Büros weltweit. Vor diesem Hintergrund haben wir uns entschlossen, die Möglichkeit wahrzunehmen,  um einerseits ein tolles Projekt zu unterstützen und gleichzeitig neue Grenzen zu erreichen. Hello and welcome to the flexport.org fundraising page for Die Arche! For those who may not be aware, we are a group of eight colleagues working for Flexport, a digital freight forwarder. We work across the European offices in Amsterdam and Hamburg and we all share an interest in running. With the hella hamburg halbmarathon taking place on 1st July 2018, we wanted to put our skills to the test and take this opportunity to raise money on behalf of a local fundraising project for Die Arche - a charity that provides help for socially disadvantaged children in Hamburg.

Anand, Aron, Daniel, Diane, Harrison, Jordan, Lasse and Simon have been training hard for the past few months in preparation for the relentless 21km course; we really appreciate any donation you may be able to give.

We are running on behalf of Die Arche (english: The Ark), a charity helping make children aged 4 until 19 strong for life - regardless of their social background. Founded in 1995, the Hamburg project reaches out to over 2,500 children and youth per year with a eclectic mix of projects that range from providing warm meals to children from socially disadvantaged children, to providing educational programs that support youth to advance their education path into college and further. The projects in Hamburg are made possible by the help of 38 employees and 40 volunteers.  They help children from all backgrounds to grow by encouraging their natural talents and enable opportunities by using a mix of educational support, sports and arts. All donations from Die Arche Hamburg fundraiser go directly to the Hamburg projects; administrative costs are all covered by the charity’s  head office in Berlin.
