Story

Something magical happened to me on Friday.

Sitting chatting over lunch with my boss and a beautiful human being casually passes our tables and places an envelope down saying "This is for you ladies"
Before I know it, I looked up and she had gone and I had no idea who she was.

Inside the envelope is a £20 note, on the front is simply written "a random act of kindness". I turned over the envelope to find a website and it turns out this beautiful human being was the angel in the corner. I smiled and cried in equal amounts but most of all I learned something!

I posted this on Facebook and Instagram in the hope that maybe just by chance a friend of a friend of a friend might like my post and she might just see how happy it made me.

Well by the wonders of social media I have now got to know this angel in the corner. She is Fi, she is pretty awesome (actually totally awesome!) but she is also pretty sick.

You can read her story here; www.fkmunro.com

She gave me an act of kindness I will never forget and all I did was post it on social media, I did nothing really. I was so touched by this I wanted to pass on a few envelopes of my own. I told Fi and she wanted to share it with the world so I agreed.

What came next blew me away! People have said such lovely things and I am so touched and overwhelmed but really the star here is Fi. Her courage and determination is inspiring so much so I decided I wanted to do something more to give back even a little of what she gave to me. To this end I have decided (with the encouragement of my mad whirlwind of a boss!) to throw myself of a 40m bridge on a bungee!

I am terrified, truly terrified but how I feel comes no where close to how terrifying it must be to be told you have cancer. Do an amazing thing today, give what you can and if you can't just spread the word, read her story and learn something.

For every £ you donate my employer will match it upto £500 so please help me reach my £500 target so we can get a £1000 for this amazing cause!
