Story
Flora and Louisa are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to support Centrepoint's mission to end youth homelessness by 2037!
We’ve been running together for almost a decade, with varying levels of enthusiasm, especially from our four-legged companions who can’t understand why we won’t just go for walk like normal people. In all this time we've rarely made it past the 5km mark, and we have decided to it’s time to up our game a bit.
We’ll be running the Royal Parks half marathon on 12th October. The charity we have chosen to run for is Centrepoint, which supports under 25 year olds who are homeless. These young people have often been kicked by their parents or partners, but are the bottom priority for council housing as they don’t have children and are considered to be self-sufficient. Centrepoint gives them a safe place to stay and helps them into secure jobs and housing.
If we can manage to raise £1000, Flora’s work will match our donation, meaning we can make a signification contribution to the charity, so we’d really appreciate any donation, however small!
