RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

I was brought up sailing on the solent with my dad, mum and two sisters, every time we went out sailing we put our lives in the hands of the RNLI. Even though my dad was a fantastic sailor there have been moments where he had to call upon the RNLI to get him out of a tricky situation! Ever since my dad died I have wanted to raise money in memory of him and this is the perfect charity. They put their lives at risk 24hrs a day to save others at sea, saving 22 people on average daily. It costs around £385,000 to run the RNLI daily and they have no government funding, so please make a donation in order for their work to continue.
