In October I am running the London Marathon for PAPYRUS, the national charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide. 

I am running in memory of Anna, a wonderful friend who tragically took her own life in 2017 age 22. Anna was a beautiful, eccentric, fiercely intelligent, empathetic, and generous person. She had the most infectious laugh, a surprisingly deep voice given her size (she was very small), she was silly and fun and spontaneous. She spent a stint living on a house boat moving across London's lock's every few weeks to avoid paying mooring charges, she owned pet rats, was obsessed with Ru Paul's Drag Race, and always had an outlandish hair colour or style (one time she decided to shave her head in my kitchen and I was finding her hair in the flat weeks after..)

This is my offering in memory of Anna, with the hope that this contribution can help someone access the support they need when they feel like there is no way out. 

PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide. Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, in 2018 over 1800 young people took their own lives.
