Hello family and friends! 

I’ve had the good luck and fortune to secure a place at the London Marathon, which I’m proud to be running in a Great Ormond Street Hospital vest.

My running journey began last July with my Dad and I following his old paper route in Southport, and will see us run together again through the streets of our home city in October! The sport has become a big part of my life in between, with routes around Reading and Oxford, parkruns across the country, and the odd trail run in the Chilterns.

I am raising money for GOSH because I know the impact they have had and continue to have on children and their families. My sweet mum Helen has volunteered at the hospital for many years, supporting young patients undergoing immunotherapy treatments in Fox and Robin Ward, and is much loved and valued - so much so she was named Volunteer of the Year! Joe’s brother Nick, meanwhile, was treated for his talipes as a child at GOSH, and raised money for the charity last year - inspiring me to do the same.
