Story

Joining 25,000 other cyclists on the longest bike format event available, a grueling 100 mile “sportive” through the streets of London and hills of Surrey. The ride will be a personal challenge for both of us given the longest distance we have previously covered is the 60 mile London to Brighton ride in 2015.

The 100 miles will take us (hopefully!) between 6.5 and 7 hours to complete and will burn the same calories as running one and a half marathons!

All of this is in support of The Lily Foundation which was founded in Lily's memory, having lost her battle to Mitochondrial Disease at just eight months old. The charity aims to give hope, answers and support to the many other children and families that face the challenges of this disease today.Did you know every twenty minutes a child is born who will develop Mitochondrial Disease by the age of 16!  There is no cure for this disease, which is for many debilitating and life limiting. Please stand with us and fight Mitochondrial Disease and fight for hope.
