Team: Adrian's AirCrew

Flying Foulkesy's ZipWire Challenge · 6 September 2020

The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep our helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.

Story

Friends of Adrian, will know him well as an active member of the mid-Wales community in Llanidloes; a veteran player, manager, mentor & advocate for both Llanidloes Town Football Club (the Daffs) and Llanidloes Cricket Club. Adrian's also dedicated his professional life to helping his community through his work as a lawyer, specialising in helping families.

What some of you may not know, is how absolutely petrified of heights he is. His vertigo is the stuff of legend; whether it's a trip around the London eye, or ski lifts, he's completely paralysed by vertigo when anywhere high up without solid ground under his feet.

However, he's committed to enduring the world's fastest and Europe's longest Zip-Wires, provided we reach a modest threshold (£500) of donations to a great cause, close to his big 'ole heart, the Wales Air Ambulance. So let's smash this target and get some well needed funds for these amazing volunteers as well as soiling Foulkesy's trowsus:

Wales Air Ambulance Charity is funded by the people of Wales and requires £6.5 million a year to keep its four helicopters in the sky, serving Wales and saving lives. The charity can be anywhere in Wales within 20 minutes, its doctors and medics fly the A&E department to the patient. It also runs the Children's Wales Air Ambulance service, transferring vulnerable babies and children to the specialist hospitals across the UK.Your donations will help keep this vital service in Wales.
