Story
As many of you will know, I have run a few marathons now and as I was lucky enough to get a place in the 2023 London Marathon, I'd thought I would add an interesting twist to the challenge whilst supporting a good cause.
So this year I'm running the London Marathon dressed as a Key! Yes a Key, as in a front door or padlock key!
Why a Key I hear you say? Well as many of you will know, I work for Traka ASSA ABLOY who are the world leaders in key and equipment management solutions. I've worked Traka for over 25 years developing solutions to manage keys and what better way to celebrate the occasion by dressing up as a key - oh and running a marathon.
And there's more! As part of the challenge, I also stand the chance of obtaining a Guiness World Record for the fastest male to run a marathon dressed as a Key, but only if I complete the marathon in under 4 hours without taking my costume off! So no pressure!
Anyway, as part of the challenge, I've chosen to support “Save the Children” who support a combination of children in the UK suffering from the cost-of-living crisis, through to worldwide support for children in the Ukraine crisis and most recently Turkey/Syria earthquake.
