Join us, and hundreds of fellow football fans, and walk a marathon this September. Bring your mates and visit iconic stadiums across Greater Manchester, the South Coast, West Midlands or London and raise money to help beat prostate cancer.

Story

Last year my Dad (Glenn) was one of the 1 in 8 men in the UK that are affected by Prostate Cancer. This is a personal story but 1 in 8 is thousands of dads, brothers, mates, grandads, sons, partners and uncles.

My Dad required a complete prostatectomy and pelvic lymph node dissection for his treatment and even though it is a fairly common operation and has a high success rate, it seems to still be a taboo subject for men to talk about.

I want everyone out there to know that as a result of my Dad talking about the symptoms to his Dr (it was only a slight discomfort and general tiredness), it was picked up early enough that the treatment has saved his life.

Once the cancer was removed and tested it was more aggressive than the initial biopsy had first indicated and was starting to spread to the lymph nodes. Within months this operation would likely not have been enough to save him.

This September, almost a year to the date of his operation, we are taking on a walking marathon Football March across the West Midlands (finishing at the pride of the Midlands - Molineux) to help beat prostate cancer. The money we raise will help fund lifesaving research into earlier diagnosis, better treatment and essential support services. Helping men live long and live well.

Together, we can beat prostate cancer.

Men, we are with you.
