TackleAfrica uses the power and popularity of football to deliver HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information and services to young people on football pitches across the continent

Story

As summer draws near, it becomes that time again. When the golden boots of yesteryear are once again donned in the name of charity.

This will now be the third time I've joined the Locomotive Southgate squad for the annual Football Marathon, a gruelling charity tournament played from dawn til dusk in the heat of summer. Games are played back to back through two giant group stages followed by a final phase of continuous matches until each team is ranked 1 to 64! This year I'll also have the challenge of getting fit while enjoying lack of sleep with the arrival little Fredinho Hubbard.

All of this is organised by the brilliant charity Tackle Africa who aim to use the most popular sport in the world to help prevent young people in Africa getting HIV and also help those living with HIV. Please help me to support this charity by donating whatever you can so that Tackle Africa can continue their great teaching work.

Thanks, Miles
