Martin's Charity Challenge in memory of the wonderful Peta Martin

On 7 March 2021, Peta Martin, one of our shareholders and an instrumental member of the Martin family sadly and unexpectedly passed away.
Peta and Peter Martin were the architects of the of Martin’s Properties business, growing the former electrical retail business and transforming it in to the successful property company that it is today.
Peta was the most wonderful, friendly, kind and caring lady you could ever wish to meet and she brought great happiness to everyone she met. She always had time for everyone and was our greatest supporter and cheerleader.
The Martin’s Properties team therefore decided this year to raise money for charity in Peta’s memory. We're delighted to report that on Friday 6th August, 5 members of our team cycled 37 miles from Guildford (where the Martin’s business was originally founded) to our London Headquarters in Chelsea in an impressive 2h45mins. The remainder of the team walked 14 miles from Wimbledon to our office, visiting 37 of our London assets on foot along the way, in under 6 hours. In total we collectively cycled or walked over 375 miles.
We have decided to donate all funds raised to St George's Hospital Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit charitable fund, who so wonderfully cared for Peta.
We would be incredibly grateful for any donations towards this very worthwhile cause and please do follow our efforts on the day – we will be posting our progress updates on social media.
