Michael Harrison is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support
Story
Last year I followed the story of The Macmillan Longest Day Challenge on Social Media, the idea of doing 72 holes in a day for such a good cause inspired me. When young Chris first suggested doing at his home course, Broadstone Golf Club it I thought it sounded like a great idea to do it together. (I also get to spend a day with my boy in his natural habitat!!)
As some of you may know, Broadstone is not the easiest course in the world- infact, they pride ourselves on being the toughest test of golf in the area. The fairways are lined with thick heather and gorse, greens are slick and hills are steep all of these factors make it one hell of a tough walk!
Making up a fourball with Mark Dowland the Club Captain and Ed Richardson, the General Manager at the Club will ensure there is also a 'broad' range of golfing prowess on display
I made a promise to myself that I would do it this year as I wanted to help a great cause. So here we are-ready for battle, thank you in advance for your generous contribution to these great causes.
