For Grandad Joe

London Winter Walk 2018 · 14 January 2018 ·
On the 14th January 2018, Sophie and Holly are taking part in a 20K Trek for the Alzheimer's Society.
This is a cause very close to our hearts as our beautiful Grandad Joe was a victim of Alzheimer's disease.
Our Grandad was a very special man. He was kind, funny and had the biggest heart. He was also huge cat lover which must be where sophie and I get it from. Grandad Joe always referred to us as 'The Girls', even towards the end of his amazing life. He may have forgotten most things but he never forgot his 'girls'. There really are no words to explain how it feels to see your Grandad slowly lose his memory and struggle to do ordinary, day to day things. This is why we want to to help fight dementia and support the Alzheimer's Society by taking part in a 20K Walk through London and we would love your support.
There is no cure for dementia. There are 850,000 people in the UK with dementia and they need our help. The Alzheimer's Society is a wonderful charity - not only are they conducting research to find a cure for this awful disease, but they are also helping to improve the lives of those people who are affected by dementia.
So please donate anything you can, a little can go a long way. We would really appreciate it.
Thank you so much.
Lots of love,
Sophie and Holly xxx
