Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance provides life-saving, pre-hospital critical care, to patients in need. We are your local air ambulance charity, a vital part of the community and we rely on your support. Together, with your support, we can be there for patients today, tomorrow and in the future.

Story

Our wonderful friend (and my brother in law) Hayden, sadly suffered a blood clot on the brain on Thursday 29th April 2021. The NHS ambulance response was incredible, and he was air lifted to Southampton for immediate surgery. Now in Dorchester hospital, he faces a long road to recovery.

We cannot thank the amazing doctors, paramedics and staff enough that were involved in his immediate care, and continue to do so. Without the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance, it could have been a very different outcome.

Stalbridge Cricket Club are a huge part of Hayden's life, from ground maintenance to umpiring games, Hayden loves cricket! The club are raising funds which will be split 50/50 between themselves and the DSAA.

The challenge: to collectively walk, cycle, run or hike the equivalent distance from Stalbridge cricket grounds to the GABBA in Brisbane, Australia for the start of the Ashes in November 2021. The total distance is 10,362 miles.
