Story
"And did those feet.....
walk upon England's Mountains green?"
So asked William Blake.
So sang we, as we laid down two graveside stones for Joe and Guy at the top of the final mountain.
12 peaks in 6 days....... (13 in truth!)
60 plus miles, 21,000 plus feet of ascent (and descent of course).
8 hour days walking - sometimes for 6 hour stretches in thick cloud, heavy rain and violent wind.
Never walking alone........
Not giving up until it was over.......
Not quitting though we could.........
Believing that the weight on our shoulders makes us stronger men........
Remembering
Hurting
Worrying
Appreciating
Celebrating

Crying
Walking
With special thanks to those who made pledges prior to our walk and those who sent messages of support - especially those containing memories and stories about Joe and Guy. It kept us going.
And particular thanks to Craig and Alison for allowing all dontations - for both Joe and Guy - to be made through the Joe Gilligan Trust and Just Giving web link, before splitting the proceeds two ways.
"Great things happen when men and mountains meet."
So said William Blake.
We hope that your donations will prove him right.
With love and regards
Ashley and Corin
