Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

This one is for my dad (and hero) Brian Lawrence and a good friend at Cambridge United FC.

A few years ago I didn't know what a prostate was!!! More and more men are getting diagnosed each year with prostate cancer and the disease is predicted to be one of the most common cancers by the year 2030.

Sorry to bum you out! (no pun intended) but you should know that with your help and support - men just like my dad stand a far greater chance of catching and curing this cancer. The money I raise will help support new and existing research, provide vital services to cancer sufferers and just as importantly broaden the Men United campaign to increase knowledge and give it more meaning than the pin badge you see Jeff Stelling wearing on Soccer Saturday!

Thanks for reading and thanks for donating! I ran my first VLM in 2015 and ran 3:56:01.

This may be a tad ambitious but I'm aiming to beat this time and am training to run sub 3:30:00!

Wish me luck Old Partner!
