Story
Form 6 (Year 8's) were looking for a challenge to bring them together and motivate them during this third lockdown. Having decided to challenge themselves to see how far (virtually!) they could get around Europe they then decided they would like to use the challenge to raise money for a charity. Sadly, some of the students have experienced the loss of a loved one but their families benefited from the wonderful care provided by the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity. With all charities being challenged during this Covid-19 pandemic this seemed like a fitting way to do our bit to help. To ensure safety during these dark mornings/afternoons/evenings, one parent is allowed to participate and also log their kilometres!
The Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity cares for patients and their families who live in the local community and require specialist palliative and end of life care. The hospice is based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and has been established for 31 years. The services offered to patients and their families are free, however, fundraising to support these services has been severely impacted due to the pandemic.
We would be very grateful if you could sponsor us to help us on our journey around Europe.
