Story

Want to join me in supporting a good cause? I'm taking on the Jog 26.2 Miles in May Challenge for Brain Tumour Research to help them get closer to finding a cure for brain tumours, the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40 Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £50, every penny makes a real difference - thank you so much for your support.

So a bit about me and why I am taking part. Those who know me will know that running (or jogging) isn't one of my strengths but I am choosing to run on behalf of a truly wonderful human who deserves all the love and support in the world and this makes all the pain, sweat and beetroot faces I am about to experience, worth it!

My partners lovely sister-in-law, Mary, was diagnosed with a brain tumour earlier this year. Despite the doctors best efforts unfortunately we recently found out the tumour has grown and is now deemed inoperable. Mary devotes her life to her boys - husband Matty and son Tommy and shows such incredible strength and fight that taking part in this challenge was an easy decision for me to make. If you would like to read more about Mary's fight please visit the go fund me page set up by her closest friends - https://gofund.me/a677da63

Remember, sometimes doing small things can make a big difference.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
