We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

On September 10th we’ll be doing the Lake District 10 Peaks challenge. It’s a 35 km trek, has 3,000 meters of ascent and descent over mountainous ground, and includes the highest point in England – Scafell Pike – 978 meters high.

This challenge is to honour Phil Saravanamuttu, much loved by his family and friends who dearly miss him and his big smile, deadpan humour and sarcasm, kindness, overall lovableness, and the fun times in his company where you’d end up laughing til your cheeks hurt.

10 years ago Phil took his own life after a battle with depression. The money we raise will go to Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), a charity dedicated to preventing suicide in the UK, hopefully saving others in Phil’s situation.

If you're in a position to donate and would like to support, we'd appreciate anything you're comfortable donating towards our team's target of £6,000.

The team taking part: Tom Davies, Tom Eaton, Nic Gowland, Robin Lapish, Robbie Roffe, Ian Rosbottom, Rob Salmon, Kate and Mike Saravanamuttu, Harry Stokes, Matt Stokewell, Sabina Szczerba, and Zoe Wong.

Thank you!
