Asanni York started throwing Harlem Renaissance-inspired rent parties summer 2019 in New York. At these parties, there is a door fee, entertainment, and more to raise money for community members' emergencies. Since then, FTG has become a monthly endeavor, supporting primarily Black Trans folks across New York and New Jersey.

FOR THE GWORLS is dedicated to monthly party fundraisers to assist Black Trans folks in paying rent, leaving harmful environments, and recently gender-affirming surgeries.

“If you’re Black and trans I’m not going to refuse you. I’m just not going to push you away because that’s what the world does to us. We don’t need anybody else doing that to us, especially not another community member.” -Asanni

Our goal today is $2000, the amount they raise per party! So open your hearts, your wallets, and let's party, too! 24-hour live stream starts June 20th at 5 pm Mountain Standard Time. I will be cosplaying Isabelle from Animal Crossing and playing Doom Eternal--yes like the memes!
