Oxford Mail OX5 RUN 2021 · 28 March 2021 ·

The Oxford Mail OX5 RUN is back! Join us on Sunday 28th March 2021, for our annual Oxford Children's Hospital five-mile fun run. This year's event will be virtual rather than at Blenheim Palace and we need your help more than ever!

Story

I'm taking part in the Virtual Oxford Mail OX5 RUN, on Sunday 28th March to make a difference for local children in hospital. This five-mile run raises important extra funds for the Oxford Children's Hospital, Critical Care areas and the Children's Ward at the Horton General.

I'm taking part via my company Fortitude Communications, we have entered as a team and we are all doing this together. It is a personal challenge for me, as I have never run in an event before. I have also had two major health issues in then past ten years, both of which left me unable to walk for some time. The first was life threatening and the second was an extreme bone condition in my hips. It has taken a long time to rebuild confidence and in the last 18 months I have embraced the gym with the support of a brilliant PT called Victoria Mann. It has developed my core strength and this run represents a new challenge! And for a very special cause.
