Without the Merrimack County Advocacy Center, we could never
fully investigate many of the most severe crimes reported each year. MCAC provides a safe and supportive environment for children and adult victims of crime to fully share their stories. A team approach makes sure that essential questions are asked the first time, and victims aren’t subjected to multiple interviews. Often, victims are uncomfortable speaking to uniformed police officers in a busy police department. MCAC offers victims a place to gather and share their thoughts and be heard in a neutral, professional setting. MCAC interviews have been the first step in countless cases where we successfully prosecuted some
of our worst offenders.
