The Foundling Museum tells the story of the Foundling Hospital; London's first home for abandoned children and of three major figures in British history: its campaigning founder the philanthropist Thomas Coram, the artist William Hogarth and the composer George Frideric Handel.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Foundling Museum.

We are all amateur runners who want to challenge ourselves and raise money for the beautiful museum where we work! Although some of our motley crew (Kathryn, Hazel and Anna) have experience doing half marathons and all sorts, this will be our first run as a team and for some of us the furthest we have ever run!

We are raising money to purchase Henry O'Neill's painting 'A Mother Depositing her Child in the Foundling Hospital, Paris' 1855-60. This piece is very important to our collection and telling the story of the Foundling Hospital and the lives it touched.

Please donate whatever you can and come and visit the picture at the Foundling Museum, Brunswick Square!
