We are trying to raise £6 400 (R 84 000 / A$9 900) for a charity called "Climb Your Mountain" (CYM) by climbing the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania during August 2012. CYM is about supporting individuals with mental health problems to climb their own personal mountain.  

Mental health issues can come from a wide range of areas, for example, coping with a family member who has a serious illness to rebuilding your life after surviving one. It could be somebody suffering from a bereavement which can also often lead to struggling to cope and get back to the normality of life.  CYM offers free support groups and councelling using activities like running clubs and getting fit to reach mental health wellbeing. We know it affects many ordinary people in many different ways.
