Story

FPC Monroe is joining in the Community Shelter of Union County's Souper Bowl of Caring campaign.

This year, we honor Sue Whitley Preslar, a longtime FPC Monroe member who left us on Oct. 10, 2021. She was awarded the Presbyterian Women’s Lifetime Membership in 2015 for her service. Perhaps the contribution that gave her the most joy was forming the Prayer Shawl Ministry which knitted and crocheted shawls and baby blankets for church members and extended family, items for the homeless, patients at the hospital and Hospice and many other charities. Her kindness and generosity touched hundreds of lives. The DAR recognized Sue for this ministry to the community in 2020.

Please give generously through this page, and let's help end homelessness and hunger for our neighbors.
