We will deliver and coordinate support to people with MND until a cure is found.

Story

I am a singer-songwriter, and as part of my university project, I have decided to release a two-track single and video in memory of my Aunt who suffered from MND. I would like to use both of these mediums to raise as much money as I possibly can, to raise awareness and to help find a cure for the awful disease.

The title of my single is 'Fragmented Perception' - as the concept strongly represents the feeling of being mentally and physically "trapped" when suffering from MND. The disease can physically cause speech deterioration, which can often create a strain upon communication with loved ones. Thus, where I feel that the perception of ones thoughts and feelings become fragmented for their loved ones over time. I wanted to creatively express this concept of 'Fragmented Perception', as I believe it is important to raise awareness to the awful ways MND can emotionally affect people.

Given that my Aunt lost her speech very quickly, I chose to express my own perception of her thoughts and feelings through music and visual material, in order to better understand her condition and to celebrate her life. All photographic material was captured from her favourite place -  Burntisland, where I hoped to create my own version of the area in order to reflect upon my perception of her life and latterly her condition.

Rest in Peace Sandra x

My single will be available to buy and stream across the following music platforms on 14th April 2017: iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, Google Play, Amazon, EMusic, Tidal, Shazam and 7Digital (ALL PROCEEDS INCLUDING MUSIC ROYALTIES FROM THE SINGLE WILL BE DONATED TO MND).
