Great North SwimRun 2017 · 10 June 2017 ·

We rely on large and small donations related to health care and education. We deliver them free of charge as emergency and development aid where they are needed because of economic, natural and man-made disasters. In Malawi and Zambia we have projects to keep girls in school, and to develop a community.

Story

On June the 10th I am lobbing myself into the icy depths of Lake Windermere for the Great North Swim to raise money for a charity my Mum and Dad are working tirelessly for in Malawi- one for the poorest countries in the world. Every penny raised will go towards a female education project, training local women to make reusable pads. This will keep girls in school longer, and mean that far fewer drop out when their periods start. This project will have a massive impact on the lives of these girls and women; and female education is the key to improving developing countries prospects. All volunteers working on this project are 100% self funded so all money raised will go into the project.

Anything you can give would be so very appreciated- pretty please!
