Story

I regularly walk locally for exercise and pleasure in the beautiful Somerset countryside. During 2021, I will aim to support Somerset Wildlife Trust by walking  1785 km. This is the approximate distance between Lands End and John O’Groats when walking routes are used.

I will record the distances I walk and update my progress on this page on a regular basis through the year.

During this pandemic, many of us have recognised the contribution of the natural world to our physical and emotional well-being.  Lovely places to walk and sit, to watch wildlife, and to take photographs don’t just happen by chance. Hard work, expertise and resources are essential in their development and maintenance. The Wildlife Trusts play an important role in safeguarding the countryside for us all.

If I achieve this goal, I pledge to donate £50 myself. Thank you for any further support you are able to give - either by donating on this page or setting up your own challenge in 2021..
