For the last five years or so I've volunteered with North London Cares, the brilliant local charity that organises social clubs to bring isolated older people into contact with younger volunteers. Maxie and I have attended many of these events together, and have made great friends and had a lot of fun. Now we're running to raise some much-needed money for North London Cares, who've been continuing their amazing work at during a time when, thanks to Covid-19, our older neighbours are struggling more than ever with isolation and loneliness.
