Fair Access to Education: Help us give every student the chance to learn in the digital age.

Before lockdown we tried to ensure every student had access to electronic device so they could keep up with school work via our remote learning platform. Teachers reacted quickly and creatively to make sure all students had stimulating and creative remote lessons, spending hours recording lessons and setting up live lessons. BUT it was obvious that many students were struggling. Many do not have access to proper devices or laptops, having to use phones or sharing with several other members of the household. In most households in the U.K. it is a given that children can do homework and research with their own devices: those that cannot are those for whom the attainment gap is already wide. 

Our aim is that every child will have Chrome Book and a fair access to education. Thank you. 

P.S. The Government’s pledge to provide schools with resources for lap tops NEVER materialised!
