I believe in making a difference for all children regardless of their background or circumstance.

As a service manager for Ormiston Families I know fundraising and promotion work for a charity that support ‘forgotten causes’ is never easy. But by working with children in their early years through to teens we can positively change their outcomes and offer them a better future.

I work with children who suffer huge community stigma, judgment and hatred because of circumstances beyond their control. Families suffer isolation, financial worries, children suffer bullying at school, and communities close rank and alienate the families. There is very little support out there for these children, young people and their families, I feel it is important to go the extra mile in raising awareness of what Ormiston do, by re-educating and raising our profile we can do this.

 After all who would not want to help change the outcome for any child or young person? I believe in Ormiston’s work, mission and values and this is why I have chosen not only to work for the Charity but promote all that we do through fundraising and running the 2015 London Marathon
