Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As we all know I love a drink far more than the average person, so this year I thought I'd make my ultimate sacrifice and challenge myself to give up alcohol for 31 days

Having just spent 11 days in a row with a topped up glass in my hand, I think my body may well go in to melt down mode, but I am determined THERE WILL BE NO CHEATING!!!

I have chosen to give all of the money raised to the 'Brain Tumour Research' charity. This holds a particular significance to one of my nearest & dearest and her family and therefore is very important to me too. Not to mention the lack of funding that this worthy cause currently receives. Brain tumours are the most common cancer in children and under 40 year olds, yet receives just 1% of funding for cancer research.

It would be amazing to be able to donate a significant amount to such a worthy charity and its all down to us! The more sponsors I can get for this the easier it will be for me to keep on going, so please give as generously as you can.

THANK YOU ALL xxxxxxxxxx

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
