Story
My challenge is to trek over the Welsh mountains in winter conditions for 70 miles in seven days and seven nights, on my own, hauling myself all the gear that is needed for the duration of the event.
The start date will be the 28th of February and the I will be traversing the Carneddau, Glyderau and Snowdon Massif, wild-camping all along the way.
The exact route is available for download on my Facebook page: www.facebook.com/francesco.politi.uk as well as on my website at www.fpoliti.com/blog. A few images are also attached to this page but they're hopelessly low res. A direct link to a high resolution jpg detailing the route is this:http://www.fpoliti.com/img/oth/challenge_route_1-70_Detailed.jpg
The challenge mentions seven summits, but the actual number is slightly larger and they'll be (in order of traverse):
- Carnedd Gwenllian
- Carnedd Llywelyn
- Carnedd Dafydd
- Pen Yr Ole Wen
- Y Garn
- Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach
- Snowdon
- Moel Siabod
- Yr Elen
