SANE is a leading national mental health charity set up in 1986 and is independent of government. SANE aims to improve the quality of life of people affected by mental illness. It also provide support, information and guidance through its helpline, SANEline, Caller Care, Textcare and Online Forum.

Story

The Sun has launched an appeal to help people with mental health problems like boxing legend Frank Bruno.

You can show your support for Big Frank by making a donation to SANE and adding your name to our roll of honour.

Marjorie Wallace, chief executive of SANE, said: "Frank Bruno is neither mad, bad or even sad - like many thousands of other Britons recovering in psychiatric units, Frank is simply ill.

"I believe the star’s high profile case gives us a tremendous opportunity to change our perception of mental illness.
It has brought to the fore a lot of misconceptions and is already encouraging greater understanding."

Please give whatever you can through this special online fundraising page. It is the most efficient way to donate to SANE. If you are a UK taxpayer, your donation will be increased by almost a third at no cost to you.
