16th World Transplant Games · 2 September 2007 ·
I hope very much to have the pleasure and priveledge of representing my country at the World Transplant Games to be held in Bangkok, Thailand during August 2007.
I received my kidney transplant in January 1981 when only 15 yrs old, after 14 months on dialysis, and have never looked back. I have competed every year since in the British Transplant Games, and was honoured in 1995 to be chosen for Great Britain at the World Games in sunny Manchester, and have since travelled further afield to the World Games in Australia, Hungary, Japan, and Canada.
Canada in 2005 provided me with my proudest sporting moment when I managed to win gold at golf, and I very much hope to successfully defend my title in Bangkok as well as hopefully doing well at badminton, table tennis and a 5km walk.
The Transplant Games have enabled myself to meet so many wonderful people from around the World, and as a result I have made many long lasting friendships. Every transplantee has a different story to tell, with the games bringing everyone together as one big family who all have one thing in common – the greatest gift anyone can receive – THE GIFT OF LIFE .

It will mean so much to compete in Thailand. So please sponsor me now, and many thanks for your support
