Frankie Runs Again

London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
Times are incredibly hard for everyone and whilst most of us like to believe we are 'all in the same boat', sadly that just isn't the case.
Special charities like Demelza that rely heavily on financial support from the public have seen many of their traditional and regular opportunities for fundraising severely restricted or prevented altogether by the ongoing pandemic.
The true scale of this humanitarian and financial crisis is yet to be truly understood and the impact it will have on charities is more than a short-term economic blip, with job loses and total collapses of infrastructure forecasted.
In this case, it falls to those who are fortunate enough to still be in positions of prosperity with the power to make a difference. Therefore, this October I will embark on my second London marathon, hoping to best not only my finishing time but my previous fundraising effort, with the assistance of your good selves, hopefully.
Bringing up children and raising a healthy, happy family is hard work at the best of times. When a child is born with or develops a terminal condition, the emotional and physical impact affects the whole family and can be overwhelming.
At Demelza, we focus on supporting each child, young person and family we work with to achieve the best possible life. As specialists in care for young people and family support, we will continue to use our outstanding knowledge, experience and expertise to help families enjoy their lives together.
