Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. My name is Freddie and I am 12 years old and I go to Peacehaven Community School.

I am taking part in a school 'tenner' challenge where we have been given £10 and we need to use it to earn as much money as possible in the next 4 weeks. We get to keep all money earned over the initial £10. Instead of keeping it for myself I have decided to donate any money I can earn to Cancer. I have chosen the Sussex Cancer Fund because it's local which means that it will be helping people that I may know who could suffer from cancer in the future.

Raising money to beat Cancer is very close to my heart as I have lost two people very special to me to cancer, firstly my Grandad who was only 61yrs old and more recently my godmother who was only 44yrs.

I love to sing and play the guitar and I really enjoy performing to an audience so I decided to use that to raise money for this cause. I will be arranging to sing at a few local places, this will also include busking for the first time!!. I will update this page with dates and times. I will also be uploading videos of my performances. However, here is a link to my youtube music channel where you can find 3 videos of me performing recently at an open mic night. click here!

Every pound helps so please give what you can for this great cause.

Thank you so much, Freddie

I performed at Peacehaven Football Club on Saturday afternoon  and managed to raise a fantastic £234. A story from the club website can be seen here click here!

On Saturday 23rd March I set up my amp, mic and guitar outside Molly's café on the undercliff at Rottingdean beach and 'busked' for the first time ever!! I performed a set list of 14 songs and another £146 was kindly donated. Thank you to Molly's and to everyone who came to watch and anyone walking by who also donated.

I have really loved every minute of this challenge and am so pleased with the huge amount I have raised for this amazing cause.

Freddie.
