Story
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page and for helping me to raise money for the Royal Society for Blind Children. I believe no child in the UK should grow up to be poor or lonely just because they are blind. However 90% of those who lose their sight in youth won’t work for more than six months in their lives and most will never have someone to share their life with. By donating today you can help make sure every single blind child has the self-belief and skills to fulfil the potential we know they’ve got.
Personally, I am colour-deficient and that impeded me in my life in many ways, and that makes me feel for the visually impaired more. Back home in Singapore, I have worked with people with disabilities (PWDs) through the sport of climbing and running, to uphold my personal belief in empowering people, extending their boundaries and helping them get better each day. A life without limits as the title of Nick Vujicic's book states.
"We are not different, we just do things differently."
My minimum target for fundraising is £200, because it is enough to provide a blind child with support from the RSBC Family Support Service for an entire year. But of course if more is raised, more children will be supported through your donations.
No donation goes to me, but directly to RSBC.
