Story

Dogs like me (Freddie) are the reason why the RSPCA Felledge and RSPCA Sunderland, Hartlepool & South Tyneside Branch are asking dogs and their owners to join me for a very BIG Walkies!

My story
Following a call from a neighbour in Ferryhill concerned about a dog’s welfare, the RSPCA Inspector found me (Freddie) chained up to an old bath in a backyard.  The house occupier, who had a small baby, claimed I was a stray and unknown to them, I clearly knew them.  I was probably pushed out because of the new arrival in the home….

The chain had started cutting into my neck and later the end of my tail had to be amputated.

Despite this I’m very affectionate and playful and recently after finding my new and loving home I was taken on my first ever holiday, a boat trip on the Norfolk Broads by my new mum and dad.  I had so much fun.....

Come along to RSPCA Big Walkies - Sunderland at Herrington Country Park on Sunday 27th September to meet me & find out more about dogs like me.

I’d like to thank my friends at Felledge for looked after and cared for me, the RSPCA Inspector who rescued me and the neighbour who called them, the kind people who support the RSPCA; above all my new mum and dad for giving me a second chance.

Please sponsor me so I can help other dogs and animals in need – thank you
