Hackney Half Marathon 2023 · 21 May 2023 ·

Farleigh Hospice provides hospice care & support to people affected by life-limiting illnesses. With approximately 40% of our annual running costs funded by the local NHS, we rely on the goodwill of the local mid Essex community to contribute to the £21,271 it costs to provide our services each day.

Story

Please sponsor myself and Emily to run the Hackney Half Marathon on the 21st May 2023, in loving memory of Emily's mum, Debbie. Debbie was diagnosed with cancer last year and passed away only two months later, on the 4th March 2022. Unfortunately her short battle led her into palliative care with Farleigh Hospice. Farleigh enabled Debbie's wishes, to pass away peacefully at home, with family beside her.

Your contribution to this great cause will make an impact, whether that's £1 or £50. Thank you for your support. Here's some more information about Farleigh Hospice...

“Farleigh Hospice exists to meet the needs of local people affected by life-limiting illnesses and to support those who have been bereaved. Through the ongoing generosity of the mid Essex population we provide a range of high quality services totally free of charge. By giving people choice and involvement in the care they receive we make a real difference when and where it matters most.”
