The WSUP Charity raises funds for projects that help people in developing countries to lift themselves out of poverty. Projects typically provide: - Clean drinking water from community water kiosks, - School toilets and hygiene education, or - Sanitation systems in crowded urban slums.

Story

In June I will be walking the Cape Wrath Trail from Fort William to the northernmost point of Scotland to raise money for The Water & Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP) Charity. The route is a 230 mile epic with a total ascent of around 10,000m. The guidebook says it takes 3 weeks to complete but I am aiming to do it in 10 days.

For the last 6 months, I have been working as a Sanitation Support Intern for WSUP, which means aside from talking shit all day, I have got to see first hand the life-changing work that WSUP and The WSUP Charity undertake to help millions of people around the world gain access to improved water and sanitation.

It is shocking how many people still lack access to clean water and good toilets considering how vital these services are to human well-being. If you would like to know more about this subject and what WSUP and The WSUP Charity are doing about it, have a look at the WSUP website! @ www.wsup.com

Please donate some money to this worthy and effective organisation. Any amount will be valued and when I am questioning my sanity squatting on a mountainside somewhere, it would mean a great deal if just before my phone died I got a notification saying you had given The WSUP Charity a fiver :)

Thank you!
