Having recently lost a very much loved family member to Alzheimer's disease, myself and my family have witnessed, helplessly, the devastating effects the illness has on a person. My Grandpa was slowly robbed of everything that made him the wonderful, intelligent, and charismatic man he will always be remembered as.

 

I am aware of the valuable work that Alzheimer Scotland does for people with dementia, and carers in Scotland, but this work can only stretch as far as funds allow, so any donations you wish to make will certainly go a long way. There is currently no cure for Alzheimer's disease, so more money would be extremely beneficial in allowing further research into stopping the progression of Alzheimer's. Day care, support groups and specialist wards will all benefit enormously from additional funding. The care provided is invaluable to sufferers and their families. So please, help me raise money for Alzheimer Scotland. Any donation, big or small could make the difference to someones life.

 

My Grandpa Fred. A true inspiration to me, and I imagine to anyone who met him. A perfect role model, I will always aspire to be like. You may have passed on in life, but you will always be alive in my heart.
