MY CRAZY PIE STORY

I recently retired from NASA to concentrate more on my Art.

In May, I started playing around with baking pies and I posted a few to Facebook. They went viral almost immediately and I lost track of where they all went.

Two weeks ago, Anna Sui, one of the top New York City fashion designers messaged me. I couldn’t believe it. She asked to use a couple of my pies in her Spring Fashion Public Relations (PR) Media!

She had seen my photos on Keith Richards' (from The Rolling Stones) daughter Theodora’s page!

Last Thursday, my daughter drove two pies to Manhattan and delivered them to her studio. Photos of my pies were on her inspiration board walls.

She has sent out PR packages to the media, celebrities and others that include a postcard about me too. We just made the cover of a major fashion magazine yesterday!

The pies will be in her videos and PR media. The show premieres September 15.

Anna is wonderful and very down to earth. I can’t wait to meet her in person once the pandemic situation gets better.

To top it all off, I had a dream on Dec 6, 2019 (the week that I retired) that woke me so I had to write it down.

Someone kept saying ... “Sept 3!”, “On your way home!” and “Out of your name and into your color!” I put it in my calendar and forgot about it, not knowing what it meant.

The day that I left my house to deliver the pies the note from the dream popped up! The theme of Anna's line is about "Home", it was Sept. 3 and I am definitely “in my color”. I had prayed for guidance on how I could use my art for good.

When my pies photos went viral in May, I contacted the Foodbank and they said that we needed to wait to do a pie auction until their new site was ready. She just wrote me so perfect timing!!!

Channel 13 News just contacted me today to say that they wanted to do a segment on the story. I said "YES! This will help the Foodbank and it couldn't be better timing!"  So, here we are asking you to jump in this ride with us and lets raise as much as possible for the Foodbank! I say "we" because I believe there's some divine intervention here that can't be ignored. I prayed for help and it came screaming!

During this pandemic, it can be difficult. You can feel so alone and helpless at times. I know that I have but this is one way we can come together and do something positive to help many people who need something as fundamental and critical as a meal.

I’m feeling blessed and not so alone in this crazy world at the moment as I've found something greater to focus on. Thank you for joining in on the effort! SPREAD THE WORD!!

Life is crazy. Life is good.

Let's make it good for more people.
