How Action for Children works: From before they are born until they are into their twenties, we help disadvantaged children across the UK. We help them through fostering or adoption - and by intervening early to stop neglect and abuse. We make life better for disabled children. We influence policy and advocate for change. Our 7,000 staff and volunteers operate over 600 services, improving the lives of 390,000 children, teenagers, parents and carers every year. We succeed by doing what's right, doing what's needed, and doing what works for children. 

Why Ride London?  For those who know me, I entered a ridiculous challenge last year, cycling 150 miles from the Lake District to the East Coast of England (that thankfully it ended up not happening!) This year, I have decided to reduce that challenge to the 100 mile Prudential Ride London. I have always enjoyed cycling, but have NEVER cycled 100 miles. The most challenging cycling I will have done prior to this would have been the ride up Mont Ventoux in France, but that was definitely NOT 100 miles! 

The training has not started ... yet! But I am sure my legs will soon remember how to cycle (last time I went for a ride was in May 2018!). Be prepared for many updates!!!
