As all of you know, I have been a horse lover since I was a little girl.  Cecil's Horse Sanctuary provides the most wonderful care to ponies and horses with disabilities or who have suffered neglect or abandonment.  The ponies are given a home that is safe, knowledgable and loving - and the charity is always active in involving the local community too.

Over the last year, Cecil's Horse Sanctuary has been the victim of theft - and even senseless attacks on the ponies themselves which was utterly heart-breaking.

I thought I would fundraise for Cecil's by running the 10k Run Hertford on 19th May.

I'm aiming to run the 10k in 55 minutes or less - which will be a toughy for me as I haven't run that distance in over a year, having had a fractured foot, 3 cracked ribs and an op on my nose!
