Story
I am so excited to run this half marathon in aid of Amnesty! Having never considered running like this before, I signed up to set myself a goal, knowing the only chance I would have of achieving it was to have the motivation of raising money for such a great cause - particularly in this current political and social climate.
Since I signed up, I have lost my grandad Roger, who was a force of kindness in the world. He has always been an inspiration to me to do what is right and fair in the world, and for those who were not aware - he was a huge Amnesty supporter. Running in support of them means all the more to me now. Every training run I have done so far, he has been on my mind. On the day, I will be thinking of him when I cross the finish line.
Amnesty International is a movement of ordinary people from across the world standing up for humanity and human rights. When injustice happens to one person, it happens to us all - and the solutions are in collective action.
If you can spare a few pounds to support the great work that Amnesty do around the entire world, fighting for humanity, I would be extremely grateful. Please visit their website to find out more about what is currently happening, and how you can help with or without financial support.

Amnesty's biggest achievements include outlawing torture, holding war criminals to account and controlling the arms trade.

Your support is of significant value - only together can we continue to make a difference.
