We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Hi

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I took up running in June and despite a few injuries managed to convince myself I can lean forward and move faster than a brisk walk!

I decided to challenge myself by entering my first event and raising money for a good cause.

Why? ... Simple really, I saw the NSPCC advert on TV, did some research and was really motivated into doing something to help the charity and support their work.

Following 3 months in training and clocking up the miles around North Norfolk I completed the Great South Run in 1 hour 22 minutes finishing 2309 out of 18,500 runners.

I would like to thank all the people that have encouraged me, sponsored me and put up with me over the past months, you know who you are and have done a great job in getting me through the run and raising the money above.

Throughout my training I completed a blog, you can read about my ups and downs and follow my journey in the build up to the race. check it out at

Thanks again, til the next time !

Steve
