FROK supports Khwendo Kor’s work in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) where female literacy is very low & poverty and mortality rates high. KK runs schools for girls, runs medical camps, provides microcredit and citizenship training for women and much more.

Story

Khwendo Kor is using its many years' experience of working with women and girls in mountain areas to help the earthquake victims by:

- Running medical camps where female staff are available. These also distribute food, blankets, plastic sheeting etc.

- Talking to women in villages and hospitals about needs they find difficult to discuss with male workers.

- Cooperating with international NGOs in setting up shelters and rehabilitation centres for the homeless and injured where KK can use its knowledge of local culture. - Opening an office in Abbotabad for long term work - helping children back to school; training widowed women to run businesses; establishing men's and women's village reconstruction committees. So please donate now! Many thanks for your support.
