FROMM Packaging Ltd has organised a charity walk to raise funds for MQ: Transforming Mental Health. The Walk will take place on Saturday 18th September, and the FROMM team will be following the Thames Path between Marlow and Windsor - about 14 miles in total. 

Why MQ? 

MQ is the UK's leading mental health research charity, transforming lives through research by funding important work across biological, psychological and social sciences. Their scientists investigate a huge range of issues: depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, eating disorders and more. They are bringing together everything from cutting-edge neuroscience to social studies to find the answers we need. One in four of us are impacted by mental illness every year - in everything MQ does, they are driven by one certainty: research can transform what it means to experience mental illness, starting now and for every generation to come.

We are so grateful to the colleagues at FROMM Packaging Ltd who will be taking on the challenge of the Thames Path Walk this September 2021 to raise vital funds for MQ. In the UK 1 in 4 people will experience mental illness, but despite this, research in the field has been underfunded for decades.  At MQ, we invest in world class mental health research to better understand, diagnose and treat mental illness. Over the last 18 months the fragility of mental health has been starkly highlighted, however so has the positive impact that focused investment in research can have with the production of the COVID vaccine.
